The Alexa and Yahoo link values don't connect very well with niche writers on specific topics. 123 floats between the 300 to 500 ranking (it goes up and down a bit) and is often underscored as a reader base as it is designed around a "blog network" concept rather than a centralized destination. On the other hand, they skew the PostRank data to include only the past 30 days... so if you don't post frequently and with good quality the point level will become erratic.
