Get your Gravatar

First things first: What’s a gravatar?

A gravatar is a Globally Recognized AVATAR. Because it is “globally recognized” it follows you around on the Web, and appears beside your name when you leave a comment on a blog (like this one!) to help identify your posts on Web forums.

Getting a gravatar is free at http://en.gravatar.com/.

Important to note: Gravatar will ask for your email address. Be sure to enter the email address that you’ll use most often when leaving comments. Think of that email address as the “password” to pull your gravatar into the post. (You can register multiple email addresses and upload multiple images.)

Enjoy. It’s free. And it will help build your digital imprint.

  • In “Don’t spend a dime on marketing until you read this,” Professional Life and Business Coach Tshombe Brown wrote, “I just read two absolutely amazing articles by Marketing Genius Joe Hage … you will be blown away at how much value you’ll get from them.

  • It’s indulgent all right, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like the attention. :-) [Read more...]

Joe, why do you keep a blog?

I get this question surprisingly often.

“I don’t get it,” they start. “Why do you keep a blog? I thought you liked your job.”

“I do. Very much. I’m not looking.”

“Then why do you keep a blog?”

Why I blog

I blog for lots of reasons. [Read more...]
